Tine for 3D New Year greetings cards!
My favorite December things are:
- Decorating the Christmas tree ✓
- Backing /eating Christmas cookies ✓
- Making Christmas/New year cards … In progress.
So, I want to show you my New Year greetings cards for this year. I will make two 3D cards – with stickers, so the kids can participate also in the progress.
All you need for this task is:
- Red A4 thicker and thinner papers,
- Green A4 thicker and thinner papers,
- Stickers with New Year motives, I personally like snowflakes and Santa,
- 3 different ornamental paper,
- Washi tape
- Glue and scissors.
- 3 D Christmas tree card:
First fold the red paper in half. I ordinary use smaller dimensions than the A4 format paper.
Then cut 4 different sizes from the green paper in stripes, like this, and start folding each green stripe :
Then, glue each folded stripe in rows on the red paper. Close and press the card after each row to be sure it is glued properly.
Done, next card 🙂
- 3 D Gifts card:
For this card use 2 A4 papers, some ornamental paper, snowflakes stickers and washi tape.
First, fold the paper in half and make 3 cuts on the folded paper, from longest cut (on the right side) to smallest cut on the left side.
Make ca. 1cm different between the cuts, for eg. The right cut is 5 cm, the middle is 4 cm and the left cut is 3 cm.
Then, fold the square parts like this:
After the successful folding (that is the most difficult part), open the card and glue it on the green piece of paper as background.
Then, place different colorful paper on the presents, decorate them with washi tape, bow, stickers etc.
Here are the looks with/without stickers. What do you like more?
Have a nice holidays!
